“Belief in the power of God, plus enough willingness, honesty and humility to establish and maintain the new order of things, were the essential requirements.”
— Bill W.
Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship founded in 1935 by Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith with a primary purpose “to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.”
Residents of The Augustine will attend daily AA (12 step) meetings during their treatment–both in-house and in the St. Augustine community–and will work their way through all 12 steps during their time in treatment, allowing them to build a solid foundation for sobriety in their daily life.
